Green-Guard Pactiv's GreenGuard Shiplap (SL) Insulation Board is an ENERGY STAR Qualified product as a part of EPA's Home Sealing effort.

GreenGuard® SL Insulation Board

GreenGuard® Insulation Board is Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) and features high compressive strength, high resistance to moisture absorption and excellent thermal performance. That makes it an excellent choice for use below grade as insulation and/or as a barrier to protect the applied waterproofing membrane from damage as back filling is done.

Placing insulation on the foundation exterior and/or below the slab gives thermal protection to keep the foundation from reaching the temperature of the ground. The GreenGuard® Insulation Board R-Value of 5.0 per inch of thickness makes it an excellent thermal insulator. GreenGuard® Insulation Board has low water absorption and retains R-Value over time.

GreenGuard® Insulation can be used to insulate interior basement walls where a gypsum board or other fire-rated wallboard is used. (Check local codes.) GreenGuard® Shiplap-Edge Insulation Board for foundation and basement use is available in thickness’ of 1", 1½", or 2".

GP Gypsum: Dens Armor Plus - Paperless Interior Drywall

Moisture in your home can become trapped there and whenever there's moisture and a food source, there's the potential for mold. Traditional drywall has paper facings. Substitution of glass mat facings for the paper facings helps to remove a potential food source for mold development. DensArmor® is a new generation drywall designed to be used as a replacement for traditional paper faced drywall for residential interiors. Incorporating glass mat facings, DensArmor provides superior mold resistance when compared to regular paper faced drywall.

GP Gypsum:  ToughRock

GP Gypsum supports sustainable production by using reclaimed gypsum, recycled plant waste, recycled paper, and clean fuels. They recycle enough wallboard annually to build over 50,000 homes.  The ToughRock gypsum board which we distribute from their Newington, NH plant, uses 5 % post consumer and 5 % post industrial content, for a total of 10 %  recycled material.

Homasote Products

When you build with Homasote...  Every Day is Earth Day®

Homasote Company is the nation's oldest manufacturer of building products from recycled material, fiberboard products made from post-consumer recycled paper, containing no asbestos or formaldehyde additives.

A few facts about Homasote Company's trendsetting recycling efforts. Unlike converting virgin wood pulp, recycling post-consumer paper:

  • decreases air pollution emissions up to 73%;
  • uses 40% to 70% less water; and
  • uses up to 70% less energy.
  • Each ton of recycled newsprint conserves about 300 cubic yards of landfill space.
  • Each year Homasote building products help conserve more than 1,370,000 trees and eliminate more than 100,000,000 pounds of solid waste each year.
  • Each production day up to 300 tons of post-consumer paper are recycled into Homasote®, diverted from waste stream disposal into landfills or other methods.
  • All water used to manufacture Homasote® products — hundreds of thousands of gallons per day — is completely recycled in a "closed loop" system. Homasote Company established this system in the 1950s and was recognized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (precursor to the EPA) as is one of the first paper mills in North America to establish this water-reusing system.

Master Mark Plastics - Manufacturers of:

Master Lattice & Rhino Deck

Master Mark Plastics is one of the largest and most experienced plastic recyclers in the United States recycling over 1 billion plastic containers each year!  Recycling has been their business since 1966.

Master Mark Plastics has become a premier name in lawn, garden, and building supplies throughout the world due to the fact that they are one of the largest and most experienced recyclers of HDPE plastics. High Density PolyEthylene plastics, which include hefty weight materials like milk jugs, detergent containers, juice and soda bottles: products that do not easily disintegrate. Therefore, if not recycled, these consumer waste materials end up in landfills contributing to our solid waste problems. Master Mark's recycling operation takes this plastic, grinds it up, sterilizes it and re-manufacturers it for further use in their lawn and garden products and composite decking materials.

Their operations also take recycled scrap wood from cabinet making shops, purify it, and grind it into sawdust. They combine a mixture of 50% recycled plastic and 50% recycled sawdust to form composite Rhino Deck.

Throughout the years, Master Mark has received extensive recognition from organizations across America and beyond. They have earned numerous awards for services, products, and quality including the prestigious United Nations Environmental Programme Award which is given to organizations world-wide for their significant efforts to use recycled material.
